Salt maybe a new wine bar cafe on the Cork food scene but it’s not the first venture undertaken by Frank and Stéphane, both of whom have many years experience in the bar and food business.
Frank is the proprietor of the wonderful Roundy bar, located in the oldest area of Cork City, which has built up a reputation for its relaxed easy going atmosphere and quality live music, while both were involved in the establishment of Cork’s finest wine bar, Meades 126, back in 2013. The Roundy and Meades 126 encapsulate the philosophy behind their latest venture at Salt; great food and wine in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. No pretensions, no window dressing. They simply let the ingredients and great service speak for themselves while the friendly informal atmosphere makes being there a wonderful and pleasurable experience no matter what time of day you wander in at.
